The Clack Clacks are in the past and I am currently writing to you from somewhere mid-roller coaster!

AAAAAHHHHH!
Yes, after what seemed at times to be an infinite climb up the proverbial tracks, my book A WHISPER IN THE DARK was released out into the world on October 4th! Thank you Wicked House Publishing!
And, the very first lesson I learned as a 50-something (none of your business, nosey-pants) author/mom is that LIFE does not pause for a book release, not even a debut book release. In all honesty, not a surprising lesson. It hasn’t paused for anything else so far.
But, cat vomit, two and a half hour drive to fetch college student, and flu symptoms aside, it has been exhilarating! The fact that my birthday was a mere two days after A WHISPER IN THE DARK (my novel! My DEBUT NOVEL!!) released was frosting on my cappuccino-shaped cake!
And before this coaster flips into the next round of corkscrews, forcing me to lift my hands and scream like a final girl realizing she is a final girl, let me give you a little glimpse of the author portion of the track ahead of me (the mom portion of this coaster is TOTALLY unpredictable and will be navigated as it presents itself)!
I have at least three horror stories coming out in anthologies next year! Why “at least?” Because I was invited to submit to more (still wrapping my head around this … invited!). Novel number two, also signed by Wicked House Publishing, is coming out next year! And, I have an exciting slate of signings and events coming up. Starting with my Book Launch Party at Fiction Beer Parker, in Parker, CO on November 9th!
